El Yunque Rain Forest
More than 4000 ft high, El Yunque Rain Forest is the only Rain Forest in the US National Forest system. It offers many trails with views of waterfalls, diverse flora and many picturesque scenaries. It hosts a number of species such as the endangered Puerto Rican parrot (very rarely seen) and the coqui frogs(indegenous tree frogs) which are very melodious.
US Forest Service Tours of the rainforest are available 7 days a week, on a first come first serve basis. 1 hour tours, they leave on the half hour-starting at 10:30am to 2:30pm. Tickets may be purchased at the Palo Colorado Visitor Center for a fee of $5 general admission, $3 seniors and children 12 and under.

Camuy Caves
A 268-acre park is one of the largest underground formations in the Western Hemisphere.  You can explore the caves trails  that descend 200 feet through a fern filled ravine by guided tour.  The park is equipped with walking trails, food facilities and picnic areas.  It is about a 2 hour drive from Southwest San Juan, located on Route 129, Km 9.8, Camuy.  Open Wednesday-Sunday 8 am – 4pm

This is a place not to be missed while vacationing in Puerto Rico.  San Juan is the second oldest city in the Americas.  It was founded in 1521 by San Juan Ponce De Leon.  It is characterized by its narrow cobblestone streets and colorful buildings most of which date back to the 16th and 17th century, when Puerto Rico was a possession of Spain.  Old San Juan is a main spot for local and international tourism because of its abundance of shops, historic places, museums, open air cafes, restaurants, its old beauty, and tree-shaded plazas.
